Vivekananda Ashram @ Brickfields

This Vivekananda Ashram at Brickfields is an historic ashram, built in the year 1904 and it is a part of the global Ramakrishna movement, is a well-loved subject for photographers around the globe. Vivekananda Ashram offers courses in yoga, as well as various social programs for the underprivileged. After the board of trustees sold the surrounding land, a campaign to save the ashram led to the government granting the building national heritage status in 2016, protecting it from developers.
